Former radio and tv broadcaster, Tim Modise used to be chairman of the Proudly South African campaign. It was basically an organisation which identified, recognised and gave exposure to home grown innovative products and services in the mould of the Softmeet app. Nowadays, I don't hear enough about the Proudly South African initiative and I think it should be brought back and be given proper consideration.

The rate at which black South Africans are taking up the sport of Rugby and excelling at it has prompted many in the sports fraternity to bein suggesting that perhaps the quota system in the sporting codes which previously exibited an underrepresentation of blacks should be done away with.

Last week, Siyamthanda Kolisi became the first black African to clock up 100 caps for the Springboks. His latest achievement adds to the world record held by Kolisi as the first man to win back to back IRB rugby world cups in rugby history.
